Strategic Plan 2026
 

In December 2025, BCDC members voted unanimously to focus on four primary goals for 2026:
 

1. Continued advocacy for additional funding for CYSN disability services that are culturally safe, evidence-based, and family-centred;
    

2. Advocacy related to the exclusion of disabled children/youth from child, care settings and schools;
    

3. Recruitment of additional child, youth, and/or adult disability-serving organizations to the BCDC, with a focus on equity-deserving communities (e.g. Indigenous, 2SLGBTQIA+, etc.); and
    

4. Exploration of future advocacy efforts specific to disabled adults, in addition to ongoing advocacy for disabled children and youth.
